First private clinic in the UK to specialise in refractive surgery, established in 1987

   First clinic to perform surgery for short sight, long sight, astigmatism and presbyopia

   Seven new procedures introduced in the last 5 years (Cross-linking for keratoconus, Rigid Lens Implants, DTK, CK for reading, Scleral Implants, foldable lens implants, multifocal lens Implants)

   The only clinic where all surgeons have sat on the faculty and international teaching panel of the ASCRS (American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery) and the ESCRS (European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery) and teach worldwide

 Involved with early research of new procedures, regularly presenting results at international conferences

  Attended the first ever international conference on refractive surgery in 1982 and of laser eye surgery and amongst the first ones to perform laser eye surgery it in the UK (later abandoned due to safety considerations)
